Fellowship in Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy

Course Overview

This 6-month fellowship in Binocular Vision offers an immersive clinical experience in both basic and advanced binocular vision care, and vision therapy. Fellows will gain hands-on experience at the state-of-the-art Binocular Vision and Pediatric Clinic at Sankara Nethralaya, interacting with a diverse patient population. Graduates of the fellowship will be well-equipped to establish binocular vision clinics within private practices or hospital-based setups.

Program Objectives:

  • Develop expertise in diagnosing and managing strabismic and non-strabismic binocular vision anomalies.
  • Plan and implement effective vision therapy and optometric management, including prism prescriptions.
  • Gain hands-on experience with advanced vision therapy equipment and techniques for amblyopia.

Course Details

Eligibility: Undergraduate Degree in Optometry with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Optometric practice

Number of Seats: 6 per year

Duration: 6 months (Full-time with regular clinical rotations at BV and VT clinics of SN and its branch hospitals in Chennai)

Course Fee: Indian Students: INR 60,000/- +18% GST for 6 months, International Students: USD 1200

Frequency: Twice a Year (January and July)
