Course Overview:

Pediatric Optometry requires a nuanced approach to diagnosing and managing vision issues in children. This 6-month fellowship offers intensive training in assessing and treating pediatric patients, with a focus on developing skills for effective communication and treatment strategies tailored to children.

  • Assess and address visual demands specific to pediatric patients
  • Conduct thorough eye examinations and prescribe appropriate interventions for various pediatric conditions

Course Details:

  • Eligibility: Undergraduate Degree in Optometry with at least 1 year of experience in optometric practice
  • Number of Seats: 4 per year
  • Duration: 6 months (Full-time with regular clinical postings in Pediatric Optometry clinics at SN and its branch hospitals in Chennai)
  • Course Fee:
    Indian Students: INR 60,000/- + 18% GST for 6 months
    International Students: USD 1200
  • Frequency: Twice a year (January and July)
