A 6-month comprehensive fellowship designed to empower optometrists with hands-on training, public
health knowledge, and outreach experience to serve diverse communities effectively. This program
blends clinical expertise with community engagement and leadership development.
Course Objective:
- Train to plan and implement effective community eye care projects
- Gain theoretical knowledge essential for community optometry
- Apply an evidence-based approach to community outreach initiatives
- Obtain hands-on exposure through real-world community engagement
- Conduct school, workplace, and community vision screenings across diverse populations
Course Details:
- Eligibility: Undergraduate degree in Optometry / Consideration for interns
based on requirements
- Number of Seats: 10 per year
- Duration: 6 months (Training at Elite School of Optometry)
- Course Fee:
Indian Students: INR 60,000/- + 18% GST for 6 months
International Students: USD 1200
- Frequency: Twice a year (January and July)
