Even the most experienced contact lens practitioner sometimes feels perplexed when it comes to contact lens fitting on post surgical and irregular corneas. Invariably these corneas may be affected by pre existing diseases, degeneration or the after effects of surgery, it requires utmost skill and dedication on part of the practitioner. As patient expectations are very high in today’s competitive field, having the expertise in fitting on irregular corneas will be of immense value to the practitioner.

D for Dropout – One is Many - How to reduce drop outs and build up a successful practice ?

19th April to 23rd April
How many of your Clientele are loyal to you ? Are you armed with the right skill set and knowledge to tackle problems arising out of difficult customers ? To have a stable and long practice, a practitioner must watch out on drop outs and come up with the right kind of solutions suitable for the patients. This session helps you to apply the knowledge and reduce drop outs in contact lens practice. The session also gives an update on latest developments and trends in contact lens practice worldwide

Double Troubles – Trouble shooting and problem solving in everyday practice

19th July to 23rd July

The challenges associated with day to day contact lens fitting can become a nightmare even for the experienced specialist, not to mention a budding practitioner. The objective of this session is to provide a ready reckoner which will be a useful reference in everyday contact lens practice. This workshop exclusively addresses the common challenges associated with contact lens fitting and aftercare and how to address them.

Eligibility: Minimum 2 years or 4 years, diploma or degree in Optometry

Session plan: Interactive learning sessions with theory sessions in forenoon and Practicals / hands on / Real case studies in the afternoons

Investment per session: (Includes Lunch / coffee and knowledge material)

Practitioners: Rs 9000/-
Student Practitioner: Rs 7500/-

Accommodation can be provided for outstation candidates on request (twin sharing non-AC) in SN Hostel
